This book is unique, first of all, for its fundamentally new look at the poetry of Omar Khayyam. It debunks the usual image of Khayyam, which has developed in Europe over a century and a half, and invites the reader to rediscover the great poet. It is also unique in other ways: no one has ever translated his poems in such a volume (more than 1300 quatrains). Igor Andreevich Golubev, poet, prose writer, translator from Farsi, devoted more than 36 years to working on this book. In the introductory article, I. Golubev sets out his decoding of Khayyam’s secret teachings based on hints scattered in the quatrains.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
