The ninth volume of “Historical Notes” (“Shi Ji”) completes the publication of the translation of the work of the ancient Chinese historian Sima Qian (145-87 BC). The volume contains the final 20 chapters of the last section of the monument - Le Zhuan ("Lives"). Of exceptional interest are the chapters describing the life and social structure of the peoples of Central Asia, the Korean Peninsula, and Southern China (the ancestors of the Vietnamese).
