The book, for the first time in Russian and Western scholarship, offers a systematic selection of translations of fragments of medieval works that characterize the worldview of the Vietnamese in the 10th-13th centuries. The book includes a variety of materials related to both local religious beliefs (the cult of ancestors and spirits) and Buddhism that came from India and China, mainly the Thien (Chinese Chan) school. Translations from Chinese were carried out using modern scientific-critical publications and unpublished materials (manuscripts, woodcuts). The book is intended for specialists and a wide range of readers interested in the spiritual culture of the Far East.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
