The book provides a Russian translation of the fundamental sources of classical yoga - the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and Vyasa-bhashya. The translation is preceded by a reconstruction of the system, constructed as a step-by-step examination of the issue in accordance with the rubrics of the original, and is accompanied by the author's commentary, introducing additional materials on the history of this religious and philosophical system, clarifying the nature of the mutual influences of it and classical Buddhist philosophy. The book also includes a reference section, which includes a bibliography, a dictionary of proper names and an index of philosophical terms.
