The book publishes for the first time a Russian translation of the Manchu version of “Anchun Gurun” - “The History of the Golden Empire” (1115–1234) - one of the masterpieces of the golden fund of Russian orientalists. “Anchun Gurun” is the result of many years of work by a special commission at the court of the Mongolian Yuan dynasty. The creation of the Manchu version of “Jin shi” dates back to the end of the first half of the 17th century, when the final formation of a new writing took place, the origins of which go back to the time of the beginning of the unification of Nurhatsi Jurchen lands into a new state - “Later Jin”, later renamed Qing. This writing, which ideally corresponds to the norms of the Manchu (Jurchen) language and was created on the basis of the Uyghur-Sogdian graphics, began to be used in writing state documents and literary translations from Chinese. At the same time, work began on translating into Manchu the Jin Shi, the history of the people whose direct descendants the Manchus considered themselves to be, as well as Liao Shi and Yuan Shi. The work was completely completed at the end of July 1639, and all three stories were presented to the Shunzhi Emperor at the beginning of May 1644. The Russian translation of “The History of the Golden Empire” was carried out by G. M. Rozov, who accompanied the Manchu text with his notes and extracts from Chinese chronicles. The publication of a fundamental source on the medieval history of the Far East is equipped with extensive comments, a biography of the outstanding Russian orientalist G. M. Rozov and an essay on the history of the Jurchens before the formation of the Golden Empire. CONTENTS: FROM THE EDITOR (V. E. Larichev) 5RUSSIAN MANCHURIST G.M. ROZOV (B.S.
