The first translation into Russian of the 1939-1940 diary “Gardens and Roads” by the German writer and philosopher Ernst Jünger (1895-1998). This book opens a sextet of his diaries from the Second World War under the general title “Radiations” (“Strahlungen”). Published in 1942, the same year as the German edition, the French translation of Gardens and Roads largely determined Jünger's European fame as one of the most outstanding stylists of the 20th century.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
