This volume presents the materials of Sri Aurobindo's many years of work on the study and research of the greatest monument of ancient Vedanta culture - the Upanishads: translations, notes, commentaries. This included translations and studies of all the Upanishads on which Sri Aurobindo worked, except the Isha Upanishad. In them, he resurrects for us the true esoteric meaning of these ancient scriptures, the inspired lines of which call man to awakening from Ignorance, to the knowledge of his highest, true “I”, the one and only Reality, to the acquisition of Bliss and Immortality of Brahman.
