This book contains the statements of the Mother (Mirra Alfassa - 1878-1973) about Auroville - a unique city of experiment founded by the Mother herself. Continuing the work of the great Indian yogi, the seer Sri Aurobindo, who strove for the implementation of a new world of truth and harmony on earth, the Mother created Auroville - a city that is called upon to realize the ideal of a perfect human community put forward by Sri Aurobindo, living in the highest spiritual consciousness, the consciousness of Truth. According to Sri Aurobindo, the emergence such a community should be the first step in the coming revolutionary breakthrough in the evolution of earthly nature, as a result of which the current mental being will be transformed into a supramental being, embodying the Consciousness of Truth. The coming to earth of this new supramental force, foreseen by Sri Aurobindo, must radically change the whole world, as the arrival of mental force once changed it. Despite all the difficulties and obstacles, Auroville, organized under the auspices of UNESCO in 1968 in India near Madras, continues to live and develop, and this year the city celebrated its 30th anniversary. The collection includes messages and sayings of the Mother about Auroville and reflects her vision of Auroville, its true essence and tasks. With the exception of three passages in the second part (“Dream”, “Ideal city" and "Synthesis of Cultures"), all texts collected here refer directly to Auroville.
