In this anniversary edition, dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the birth of the great English poet and artist, for the first time in Russia, Blake’s famous poetic diptych “Songs of Ignorance and Knowledge” is accompanied by a complete set of graphic sheets made by the author himself. These illustrations largely complement and clarify the poetic text. In addition, the publication uses fragments of other paintings and graphic works by W. Blake. All poems in the cycle are presented in two or more translations, many translations are published for the first time. An extensive accompanying article and comments make it easier to understand English original.
