The anthology presents a broad picture of the perception of Nabokov's work in Russian culture, provides different points of view on the writer's works and covers the entire creative evolution of the author - from Russian poems and novels to late English-language creativity. The collection includes essays, articles, interviews, reviews by Nabokov-Svirin, his prefaces to English translations of Russian novels and English-language novels, stories and memoirs, a preface to the English translation of “The Tale of Igor’s Campaign,” as well as a fragment from V. Nabokov’s commentary to the translation of "Eugene Onegin". The second part of the book presents Russian émigré criticism of Nabokov-Svirin. The book ends with a bibliography of Nabokov's works published abroad and in Russia, as well as foreign and Russian publications about him. The publication is intended for philologists, teachers and students, as well as all readers interested in Nabokov’s work and the history of Russian culture Comp., intro.. art. and note B.V.Averina. - St. Petersburg: RKhGI, 1997, 1999. - 976 p.
