The novel “Foam” by Nobel laureate Isaac Bashevis Singer (1904–1991) was first published in the New York newspaper “Forverts” in 1967 under the pseudonym I. Varshavsky. Under the pseudonym I. Bashevis, he was published in 1971 in the Buenos Aires newspaper Di Prese, but the book has not yet been published in the original language (Yiddish). It is published in Russian for the first time.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
