The repressions that swept our country in the late 1930s caused enormous damage to Soviet foreign intelligence and seriously undermined its successful activities in previous years. The arrests affected not only the heads of foreign intelligence, but also many leading intelligence officers. As a result, almost all illegal stations were liquidated and connections with valuable sources of information were lost, which had a very serious impact on the state security of the country. The book tells about the most prominent intelligence officers who fell victims of unjustified repression.
