The book consists of the last two novels of the famous German anti-fascist writer E. M. Remarque (1898–1970), in which, using the example of a lone hero, the fate of many thousands of emigrants, victims of Hitler’s terror is traced.

Глибока та зворушлива книга, що залишає слід у душі
Книга "Ніч у Лісабоні. Тіні в раю" - це справжнє мистецтво, яке відображає жахи еміграції та терору, з якими стикалися мільйони людей у часи гітлерівського режиму. Ремарк, як завжди, вражає своєю здатністю передавати емоції та переживання своїх персонажів. Герой-одинак, через призму якого ми спостерігаємо за долею емігрантів, стає символом боротьби, надії та втрат. Незважаючи на те, що текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, загальна якість перекладу вражає, хоча іноді трапляються незначні недоліки. Це не заважає насолоджуватися глибиною і красою Ремаркової прози. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цінує літературу, що піднімає важливі соціальні питання та залишає глибокий слід у серці.
