The Russian reader will for the first time become acquainted with a complete translation of one of the books of the outstanding American hygienist, already known in Russia for individual articles, holder of several honorary doctorate degrees, Herbert M. Shelton, whose works have been translated into many languages of the world - both Western and and eastern. The reader will also learn about the general worldview of this major figure of the 20th century. The book is only a small part of his seven-volume work “The Hygienic System” (1934–1968), where the author attempted to cover the main aspects of human life in his unity with Nature.
