The first days of the war in Belarus are inextricably linked in our minds with the events of the heroic defense of the Brest Fortress. However, this glorious page of history was the result of strategic and tactical decisions made as a result of a chain of events by the warring parties during the preparation for Operation Barbarossa and in the early days of the war. This book is dedicated to an examination of the peculiarities of the fighting in the Brest direction in June 1941, as well as the fate of the defenders of the Brest Citadel.
