The book presented to readers is dedicated to the largest tank battles of the Second World War. It should be said that in modern military historical science there are no strict requirements for the concept of a tank battle, therefore the author’s approach to the chosen topic is largely subjective, and the selection of battles took place according to various criteria. The tank battle on the Southwestern Front in June 1941 is the largest in terms of the number of armored vehicles used by both sides; the spring-summer battles of 1942 in the Kharkov and Voronezh region are associated with the first attempts of the Soviet command to use tank corps and the army in battles. The three remaining operations: at El Alamein, near Prokhorovka and in the area of Lake Balaton are epic dramas of the Second World War, overgrown with speculation and legends, which, when researched in modern conditions, can either be confirmed or refuted. This work is unique and has no analogues in modern literature.
