At the beginning of 2008, the New Literary Review publishing house published an outstanding work of modern Hungarian literature - the voluminous “family saga” by Peter Esterhazy “Harmonia cælestis” (“Heavenly Harmony”). The “Corrected Edition” is a kind of continuation of this book, written after the author had the opportunity to familiarize himself with documents from the archives of the former Hungarian state security agencies concerning his father. The documentary narrative, which is the “Corrected Edition,” shocked readers and became not only a literary sensation, but also a socially significant event. Fragments of the novel were published in the journal “Foreign Literature”, 2003, No. 11.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
