This volume presents translations of three books by Montague Rhodes James (English Montague Rhodes James; August 1, 1862, Kent - June 12, 1936) - an English writer, historian and specialist in the Middle Ages: 1) Ghost Stories of the Antiquary - Collector of Ancient Books (Ghost-Stories of An Antiquary – London EDWARD ARNOLD 41 Maddox Street\, Bond Street 1905); Ghost Stories of an Antiquary: Part 2: More Ghost Stories – London EDWARD ARNOLD 41 Maddox Street \, Bond Street 1911); Pale Ghost and Other Undead (A Thin Ghost and Others – London EDWARD ARNOLD 1919) For work, I took books with complete versions of the stories, and they included explanations by the author and publisher, which helped me a lot, especially when working on difficult-to-translate parts of the text . The English consider their compatriot (M.R. James) a classic, so I tried to take into account all the stylistic features.
