The Novgorod Karamzin Chronicle, which had never been published before, was preserved in a single list of the late 15th – early 16th centuries. (RNB, F.IV.603). The text of the chronicle contains two separate collections (selections), of which the first covers the chronological period from the division of the earth by the sons of Noah after the flood to 1411, and the second - from 988 to 1428. In these collections, the Novgorod chroniclers for the first time show a noticeable interest in events not only local, but also all-Russian, and widely include in their collections works and news from manuscripts of southern and central Russian origin, starting with the Tale of Bygone Years. This determines the presence in it of a number of unique articles that were not preserved in other manuscripts (for example, letters and messages to Novgorod by Patriarch Anthony of Constantinople, Tsar Manuel and Patriarch Matthew, etc.). Many works of ancient Russian literature included in the selections of the Novgorod Karamzin Chronicle are represented by early editions and versions close to the original ones. The publication may be of interest both to specialist historians and literary scholars, and to a wide range of readers interested in the history and literature of Ancient Russia. Novgorod The Karamzin Chronicle is published for the first time. CONTENTS: Preface (Ya. S. Lurie) 3 From the compilers (A. G. Bobrov, 3. V. Dmitrieva) 14 Archaeographical introduction (A. G.
