Technology of health-improving physical culture INTRODUCTION

Health-improving physical culture becomes one of the main factors of a healthy lifestyle at the end of the 20th century. Empirical experience and empirical research convince us that engaging in any physical exercise leads to a reduction in the risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer and other diseases. The most popular health systems are aerobics, bodybuilding, sports games, yoga, Chinese gymnastics, callanetics and others. However, acquaintance with scientific publications convinced me that none of the listed systems has a significant theoretical basis. In addition, publications were found in which the very low effectiveness of the most popular health improvement systems, such as various types of aerobics, was experimentally proven. According to the definition of the World Health Organization (WHO), the concept of “health” means the absence of disease in combination with complete physical, mental and social well-being. Physical culture can solve the problems of disease prevention, i.e. ensure physical well-being. The problems of mental well-being can be partly solved, since excitation in the motor zone of the cerebral cortex attracts weaker foci of excitation in other parts of the brain. For example, stagnant mental stress associated with everyday life (bad relationships in the family, at work, etc.) lead to the depletion of individual nerve cells due to their constant activity. Performing physical exercises removes activity (inhibits) all brain cells except those that are responsible for performing physical exercises. Therefore, most brain cells rest and restore their “strength”. Consequently, physical exercises partially solve the problems of a person’s mental well-being. And yet the main task of physical culture is physical well-being, i.e. prevention of the main types of diseases that most people suffer from as they age. Statistics show that about 50% of people die from coronary heart disease, about 20% from cancer. More than 80% of adults experience back pain. In order to understand the causes of these diseases, as well as determine ways to prevent them, you need to know how our body is structured (anatomy) and how it functions (physiology). Therefore, in the next chapter we will provide brief information from anatomy and physiology, and then we will explain the reasons for the emergence of the main types of diseases of modern humanity at the end of the 20th century.
