This book includes the classic works of Albert Camus from the collections “The Inside Out and the Face”, “Summer” and “The Wedding Feast”. The essay is a genre that occupied a special place in Camus’s work. A genre to which he turned again and again throughout throughout my life and in which I felt, perhaps, the most free - both as a philosopher and as a writer. This could be a purely existentialist essay (the most famous example is “The Myth of Sisyphus”), or a rather poetic essay (“Marriage in Tipasa”) , but most often Camus managed, as in “The Wind in Djemil,” to quite naturally combine artistic and philosophical merits in his very small works. In addition to essays, the book includes the short story “A Happy Death.”
