“The Fall” is a work of the late Camus, reflecting the essential features of his creative evolution. His main concern is to justify himself, and his main quality is his inability to love. In “The Fall,” Camus commits reprisals against his own worldview. The story was first published in Russian in 1969 in the magazine “New World”
