This publication is a translation of volume 66 of the Collected Works of Martin Heidegger - “Besinnung” (“Comprehension of Meaning”) (1938/39), published only after the philosopher’s death as part of a more than 100-volume collection by the publishing house Vittorio Klostermann. The publisher presents this manuscript as the basis of the philosophy of the “other Beginning”, characteristic of the “late” Martin Heidegger. She develops the ideas of “Reports to Philosophy (On the Event)” (vol. 65 Collected Works) and turns them into the foundations of a new comprehension of Being. Written in forest exile, in secret from his beloved students, the manuscript of “Comprehension of Meaning” expresses criticism of the National Socialist dictatorship - the denial of the national division of peoples depending on their nationality. The main idea of the manuscript is to clarify the meaning of the concepts of the philosophy of the “other Beginning”. 2nd edition, supplemented. The publishing layout of the book is saved in PDF A4 format.
