The witch Kiki is already sixteen years old. For three years now, she has been living an independent life in the seaside town of Koriko, working at the Witches Delivery Service. The black cat Jiji is still with her, her friends are with her, and the people of Koriko are happy that a witch has settled in their city. In general, the days pass by with the usual chores, until one evening a strange little eccentric appears in Koriko. And everything starts to go wrong in the lives of Kiki and Jiji! Eiko Kadono wrote her first stories about Kiki in 1985. Inspired by the success and numerous literary awards in Japan, she continued the story of the young witch - to the delight of fans, among whom was the great Hayao Miyazaki, who created his 1989 animated masterpiece based on Kadono’s books. And in 2014, a full-length feature film was released. In 2018, Eiko Kadono received the Hans Christian Andersen Award for best children's writer.

Книга "Кікі та інша відьма" - це справжнє свято для любителів магії та дитячої літератури! Ейко Кадоно знову радує нас історією про відьму Кікі, яка, вже будучи дорослою, продовжує жити у своєму улюбленому місті Коріко. Ця частина книги зберігає ту ж чарівність і тепло, що й попередні, але водночас додає нових елементів, які роблять сюжет ще більш захоплюючим. Дружба Кікі з її чорним котом Дзідзі та новими персонажами, такими як маленька дивачка, додає глибини та емоційності. Читати цю книгу - це немов зануритися у світ магії, де кожен день приносить нові пригоди та виклики. Я вважаю, що ця історія буде цікавою не лише дітям, а й дорослим, які хочуть відчути магію дитинства. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які не заважають загальному враженню, я рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цінує чудові історії про дружбу, сміливість і магію!
