The new collection of stories by the famous Serbian film director, musician and writer Emir Kusturica, “One Hundred Troubles,” has become a sensation of the literary season in Europe. It seems that Kusturica resurrects in prose the magical atmosphere of his films such as “Dad on a Business Trip”, “Life is a Miracle”, “Black Cat, White Cat”. The fabric of life with its foundations and traditions, family rituals is torn under the pressure of political circumstances, through the holes flash snakes drinking milk, sheep exploding in a minefield, or flying lovers (“does flying mean falling?”). Книга «Сто бід» Еміра Кустуриці стала для мене справжнім відкриттям. Автор вміло поєднує елементи магічного реалізму з глибокими роздумами про життя, традиції та політичні обставини, які впливають на долю його батьківщини. Кожне оповідання — це окрема історія, наповнена яскравими персонажами, абсурдними ситуаціями та комічними моментами, які змушують задуматися про серйозні речі. Кустуріца, як завжди, вміє створити атмосферу, що нагадує його фільми, і читач відчуває, ніби сам стає частиною цієї магічної реальності. Хоча переклад може мати деякі недоліки, це не зменшує загального враження від книги. Рекомендую всім, хто любить літературу, що викликає емоції та залишає слід у душі!
