This collection includes articles by August Kotlyar from the beginning of 2020 to the end of 2023. The author has combined into a single narrative the fabric of events that completely changed the face of both Russia and the world in four years - from a global world to a fragmented, multi-dimensional world, at war with each other, with a completely changed consciousness of people, with expectations that have changed towards social pessimism. The author’s task was to record not only the outline of events, but also to convey the Zeitgeist, the elusive and inexpressible spirit of the era, which can only be captured in works of art, which the author tries to do through masterful use of words, humor, irony and metaphorical presentation of his observations and considerations. The collection will be accompanied by three small collections - spin-offs dedicated to the problems of Russian-British relations, Israeli and Jewish issues, as well as a collection on contemporary arts.
