The first volume of the diaries of the eminent 20th-century German writer and thinker Ernst Jünger (1895–1998), which he began writing in 1965, on the eve of his seventieth birthday, begins with a description of a four-month trip to Southeast Asia and then takes the reader to Corsica, to Portugal and Angola and finally to Italy, Iceland and the Canary Islands.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
