“The History of Peter I”, covering in chronological order the events of Peter’s time, is the last historical work of A.S. Pushkin. The manuscript was banned by Nicholas I, then lost and discovered only after the revolution - in 1917. As a result, “The History of Peter” became known to the reader only a century after the poet’s death. This edition contains the 1938 version.
