For the first time in Russian, literary and interlinear translations of all 59 poems included in the poetic cycle of the great Chinese poet Li Bo (8th century) “The Spirit of Antiquity” are published, which, according to academician V. M. Alekseev, are a kind of “historical -a literary manifesto”, in which the poet, based on historical chronicles, mythological traditions and legends, as well as factors of the contemporary socio-political situation in the country, sets out his ideological, ethical and aesthetic concepts. Compilation, translation from Chinese, comments, notes by S. A . Toroptseva.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
