For the first time in Russian, literary and interlinear translations of all 59 poems included in the poetic cycle of the great Chinese poet Li Bo (8th century) “The Spirit of Antiquity” are published, which, according to academician V. M. Alekseev, are a kind of “historical -a literary manifesto”, in which the poet, based on historical chronicles, mythological traditions and legends, as well as factors of the contemporary socio-political situation in the country, sets out his ideological, ethical and aesthetic concepts.
