The second book includes one of the most important works of St. Maximus the Confessor - “Questions to Thalassius.” In addition to the Questions to Thalassius No. 1–55 included in the second volume, the book is supplemented by Questions No. 56–65, which were translated by A. I. Sidorov and published at different times, mainly in the almanac “Alpha and Omega”. And also an article by A. I. Sidorov for the Conference of the Department of Theology of the Moscow Theological Academy, dedicated to the 1350th anniversary of the death of St. Maxim the Confessor (580-662). November 16, 2012. Published in “Materials of the Department of Theology of the MDA” (2012–2013). Sergiev Posad, 2013. The translation test is supplemented with full comments by S. L. Epifanovich and A. I. Sidorov.
We express special gratitude to the editors of the almanac “Alpha and Omega”, as well as to the Libraries of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and the Kiev Theological Academy for providing originals of the missing Questions and Answers with comments by A. I. Sidorov.
