Having barely opened the “Short Book of Farewells”, the reader may exclaim: this is Kharms! The same short stories, the same black humor, although closer to today's realities. At first glance, it looks like some kind of crumbling mosaic, connections are being broken every now and then, everything is slipping away and unsteady. But the deeper you dive into the text, the more clearly you begin to understand that all these grotesque situations and strange heroes - Nikolai and Socrates, Zabolot and Marisha Potopa - are closely connected by what has gone, is going or can go. And then the collection of mini-short stories ultimately turns out to be a multifaceted novel, which the author slyly remains silent about, but this discovery is all the more important for the reader. In 2016, “A Brief Book of Farewells” was awarded the V. G. Korolenko National Union of Writers of Ukraine .

Вражаюча мозаїка емоцій та думок
«Коротка книга прощань» - це справжня перлина сучасної літератури, яка вражає своєю глибиною та іронічним підходом до життя. Автор майстерно поєднує чорний гумор з серйозними темами, створюючи унікальний стиль, що нагадує роботи Хармса, але з сучасним відтінком. Кожна міні-новела, на перший погляд, може здаватися окремою історією, проте, поринаючи в текст, читач починає усвідомлювати, що всі ці персонажі та ситуації тісно переплетені між собою, створюючи багатошарову картину нашого існування. Особливо вражає, як автор грає з формою та змістом, залишаючи простір для власних роздумів і інтерпретацій. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які, на жаль, можуть відволікати, загальне враження від книги залишається надзвичайно позитивним. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цінує нестандартний підхід до літератури та готовий поринути у світ абсурду та іронії!
