Which ones? This question can be answered by referring to the original French texts of the 14th–15th centuries, collected in this edition and translated into Russian for the first time. The reader will find in these texts the entire range of assessments and judgments encountered at that time - from sharply satirical ridicule of marriage and family to enthusiastic celebration of love between a man and a woman. The book is illustrated with miniatures from the manuscript “The Fifteen Joys of Marriage” (1484–1485), stored in State Public Library named after. M. E. Saltykov-Shchedrin in Leningrad.
