Олексій Звєрєв майстерно передає метаморфози, через які пройшов Набоков, відображаючи складні історичні обставини, що вплинули на його творчість. Читання цієї книги - це не лише знайомство з біографією автора, а й глибоке занурення у його внутрішній світ, його боротьбу з ідентичністю та пошуки місця у новій культурі. Переклад, хоч і здійснений за допомогою штучного інтелекту, в більшості випадків якісний і зрозумілий, що дозволяє насолоджуватися текстом. Хоча є деякі недоліки у перекладі, вони не заважають загальному враженню від книги. Рекомендую всім, хто хоче зрозуміти не лише Набокова як автора, а й його як людину, що пережила неймовірні зміни в житті!
