Mark Fisher (1968–2017) is a renowned British cultural theorist, essayist, blogger, and music critic. Fame came to him thanks to the work “Capitalist Realism”, published in 2009 at the height of the global financial crisis, as well as the blog “k-Punk”, where he subjected merciless critical reflection to events in cultural, political and social life. In addition to political and cultural journalism, Fisher greatly influenced music criticism in the 2000s, being a regular contributor to Britain's leading intellectual music magazine, The Wire. It was he who introduced into widespread use the concept of “huntology,” borrowed from Jacques Derrida. The book “Ghosts of My Life” was published in 2014. This author's collection summarizes all the plots of Fischer's intellectual search: in it he talks about the crisis of historicity, cultural nostalgia for an unfulfilled future, and also describes the tension between the personal and the political, the epicenter of which is popular music.
