The Austrian writer Ingeborg Bachmann lived a short life, but her wonderful works - poetry and prose - translated into many languages, placed her among the outstanding writers of the 20th century. The novel "Malina", written in the first person, is an emotional story about an extraordinary woman who finds herself in an insoluble conflict with her time, with her lover and with herself. One critic said about this work that it reflected all the disasters and catastrophes of the 20th century.
