In 1948, sixty-year-old philosopher Marcel Jouandeau met twenty-year-old soldier Robert Coquet. Their love affair lasted 12 years. The book "Boys' School" contains letters from Robert and Juando's admirer Henri Rode (1917-2004), revealing the secrets of this story. Only after the death of Juando it was discovered that Robert’s letters were written by Henri, who arranged a meeting between his idol and the young man.
His charm is so powerful that it would be capable of causing catastrophic destruction if he were not so pure in soul. How many times on the street or in a cafe I noticed glances directed at him, in which desire and lust were read! He is looked at differently than others. He has the gift of inspiring trust in himself, and who knows how many deceptions, betrayals, perfidy and other “Don Juanism” would be on his conscience if the devil were hidden behind such an innocent face, in the depths of such a pure heart? But his thinking is still naive, childish. What is someone else's attentions to him if they are not yours? He simply doesn't notice them.
