The book is a presentation of a series of lectures given by the author in April–September 2003 and devoted to issues of the economic system of modern Russia and current problems of the socio-political life of the country. This work reflects the author’s personal vision of the issues raised in it, which may not coincide with the official position of the Russian Democratic Party “YABLOKO”, which he heads.
