Hannah Arendt is one of the most prominent political thinkers of the 20th century. Although she never considered herself a philosopher, THE LIFE OF THE MIND - her last and most significant book - is an original philosophical study in the proper sense of the word, a large-scale and fascinating attempt to present the entire Western tradition of understanding the work of the mind in its main manifestations - Thinking, Willing and Judgment . Hannah Arendt managed to complete work on only the first two volumes. At the very beginning of work on the text of the third volume, “Judgment,” she was overtaken by death. Some idea of the intention of this part can be obtained from the preparatory materials - “Lectures on Kant’s Political Philosophy”, fragments of which are included in the Appendix.
