Currently, Michel Foucault is one of the most cited authors in the field of modern philosophy and cultural theory. In the 90s, almost all of the main works of this author were published in Russia. However, the activity of Foucault as a politician remains practically unknown to the domestic reader, which is reflected in numerous articles and interviews. Among the topics touched upon by Foucault: the problem of the connection between knowledge and power, changes in the mechanisms of functioning of power in modern societies, the role and status of the intellectual, the fate of the main political ideologies XX century.
