The End of the Chapter trilogy is adjacent to the Forsyte series. The reader will again meet here the heroes familiar to him from the “Saga”: Fleur, Michael, Lady Mont and others. The main character of the trilogy, Dinny Cherrell, personifies England itself for the author. Kindness and selflessness, devotion to the interests of the family and moral principles help Galsworthy's heroes overcome serious trials. “End of the Chapter” is the writer’s last work. In this work, as in all of Galsworthy’s work, there is an inherent gentle humor and wisdom and optimism. Through the lips of one of the heroes of the novel, he says: “Would human life, and it is so fragile, survive despite all our troubles and hardships, if it were not worth living in the world?”

Вражаюче завершення трилогії!
Книга "В очікуванні" стала для мене справжнім відкриттям і гідним завершенням циклу про Форсайти. Автор знову майстерно відтворює атмосферу Англії, наповнену добротою, самовідданістю та моральними цінностями, які так важливі для героїв. Дінні Черрел, як головна героїня, втілює в собі всі ці якості, і її шлях через випробування викликає захоплення та співчуття. Яскраві персонажі, знайомі з попередніх книг, знову оживають на сторінках, і їхні взаємини наповнені глибиною та емоціями. Особливо сподобалися моменти м'якого гумору, які додають легкості та оптимізму, незважаючи на серйозність теми. Ця книга залишила в мені теплі спогади і бажання ще раз зануритися в світ Голсуорсі. Рекомендую всім, хто цінує якісну літературу та глибокі людські стосунки!
