After Mozart's untimely death, the throne of the king of music did not remain empty for long. It was rightfully occupied by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827), who turned the development of music in a new direction. He was not only a great composer, but also a brilliant performer and an unsurpassed improviser. To convey his thoughts and feelings, he always found new means of expression, transforming and enriching traditional musical genres. The novelty and significance of the content of Beethoven's music led to the expansion of the scope of existing musical forms and a profound transformation of all types of musical creativity. Beethoven made a strong impression on those around him. He seemed an unsociable person, immersed in himself. In the minds of people, his human appearance was combined with the brilliant music he created, imbued with such incredible strength and power, such passion and pain, such lyricism and tenderness that he himself seemed like some kind of superman. But in fact, he loved jokes, had a great sense of humor and was very sociable. A brilliant composer who shared the ideals of the French Revolution, he felt free and created music that expressed his humanistic ideas through the means of art. Even hearing loss did not stop his creative growth. His entire life and work speak of the titanic personality of the composer, who combined brilliant musical talent with an ebullient, rebellious temperament, endowed with an unbending will and the ability for enormous internal concentration. Beethoven's work is one of the peaks in the history of world art. A true innovator, an unyielding fighter, he embodied bold ideological concepts in surprisingly simple, clear music, understandable to the widest circles of listeners. Eras and generations change, but Beethoven’s immortal music still excites and delights the hearts of people.
