National problems cannot be solved by means inherited from the oppressors - this is the main idea of the writer.

Ачебе майстерно передає дух часу, показуючи, як традиційні цінності та соціальні структури руйнуються під тиском колоніальної влади. У першому романі автор порушує питання ідентичності та культурних зіткнень, демонструючи, як колонізатори не можуть зрозуміти глибокі корені африканських спільнот. У другому романі Ачебе викриває політичні ігри та корупцію, які виникають у новій владі, що, на жаль, часто є продовженням колоніального спадку. Ця книга не лише інформує, але й спонукає до роздумів про сучасні національні проблеми та шляхи їх вирішення. Рекомендую всім, хто цікавиться історією, культурою та політикою Африки!
