This collection of military-historical documents presents documents containing information about the 110 and 172 rifle divisions formed in the Tula region that took an active part in the battles near the city of Mogilev and about the Tula communist volunteer regiment that entered into battle with enemy paratroopers near the city of Yartsevo and Most of them died there. The book also contains memories of combatants and eyewitnesses of the events. The book contains many memories of combat participants. Which adds interesting details that cannot be reflected in official documents. The book is intended for historians, teachers, students, local historians and a wide range of readers. The book uses materials from the Central Academy of Medical Sciences of the Russian Federation, the archives of the IRI RAS, Tula archives, notes from newspapers of that time, memories and memoirs participants and witnesses of those events. Photos for the book were kindly provided by various archives, from personal collections. Special thanks to the museum of school No. 66 in Tula (Kosaya Gora) and the director of the museum, Valentina Gavrilovna Kormilitsina, for the wonderful school museum and for collecting and providing material for the book.
