The seventh issue of the journal “Foreign Literature” for 2013 published excerpts from the book “Dribbling across the border. Polish-Ukrainian Euro 2012". The editorial introduction says: “In 2012, the 14th European Football Championship took place... The final matches were held... in eight cities of two countries - Poland and Ukraine... When there was very little left before the start of the final games, a book was published in Poland, which we found interesting for IL readers... Because under one cover are collected essays by outstanding Polish and Ukrainian writers, each representing one - his own, native - city from among those in which the matches took place. Because all these writers - each in their own way, not limited to the “football” framework - talentedly talk about their cities, their fellow citizens, their mentality and specific features, about life, morals, history, politics...” So, the Poles - Pavel Hülle (1957) translated by Elena Gubina, Marek Benczyk (1956) translated by Irina Adelheim, Natasha Goerke translated by Denis Viren; Ukrainians - Natalka Snyadanko translated by Zaven Babloyan and Sergei Zhadan (1974) translated by Madina Alekseeva.
