The third volume of the encyclopedia “Spiritual Culture of China”, like the two previously published - “Philosophy” (2006) and “Mythology. Religion" (2007), is devoted to the description of such a unique and globally significant phenomenon as the spiritual culture of China. The work is intended for all readers interested in Chinese culture itself and the basics of scientific knowledge about it. The features of this large-scale project, the prerequisites for its creation and the principles of organizing the material are set out in detail in the introductory articles to the volume “Philosophy”. The encyclopedia includes thematic blocks “Philosophy”, “Mythology”, “Religion”, “Literature”, “Art”, “Language and Writing”, “Historical Thought”, “Political and Ethical-Legal Culture”, “Science and Technology” thought”, covering all the main forms of spiritual culture. Each volume contains one or two thematic blocks and is divided into three sections: General, Dictionary and Reference, marked with Chinese cyclic characters.
