Volume “Mythology. Religion" of the encyclopedia "Spiritual Culture of China" is closely related to the volume "Philosophy" (published in 2006). Both volumes are devoted to a single spiritual complex of philosophical and theological thought and religious and mythological consciousness, based on a common terminological, textual and ritual-liturgical basis. Each volume consists of General, Dictionary and Reference sections. The general section contains detailed theoretical articles and historical essays reflecting the main themes of the area covered. The Dictionary section presents basic concepts, categories, mythologies, cults, rituals, spirits, deities, schools, movements, canonical works, personalities. The reference section includes selected bibliography, chronological table, indexes.
