The book was first published in 1994 and immediately became an intellectual bestseller (2nd ed. - 1996). The book is the first complete translation of two stories by A. Milne about Winnie the Pooh. The translator and interpreter of the text “Winnie the Pooh” is Moscow philologist and philosopher V.P. Rudnev, author of the books “Morphology of Reality: A Study in the Philosophy of the Text” (1996), “ Dictionary of Russian culture: Key concepts and texts" (1997, 1999), "Away from reality: Studies in the philosophy of text. II" (2000). The book presents "Winnie the Pooh" as a serious and deep, although no less funny and amusing, work of classical European modernism of the 1920s. A variety of humanities disciplines are used to analyze “Winnie the Pooh”: analytical philosophy, logical semantics, theoretical linguistics and semiotics, theory of speech acts, semantics of possible worlds, structural poetics, theory of verse, clinical characterology, classical psychoanalysis and transpersonal psychology.
