The book is devoted to the construction of a new model of reality, which is based on the concept of narrative ontology. This concept implies that ideas about true and false do not play a fundamental role in human life. Simple statements in propositional logic can be true and false. But the content of a propositional attitude (e.g., “I say that...”, “I believe that...”, etc.), according to Frege’s rule, does not have a truth value. Thus, in the phrase “I say that it is raining,” only the “I say...” part will have truth value. Hence the first law of narrative ontology: we can only be sure of the fact that we are saying something. The second law of narrative ontology says: it doesn’t matter whether this or that event took place, what matters is how interesting it is to us. Reality tells us about something. If we read her messages correctly, we will be able to understand the meaning of life.
