John Ronald Reuel Tolkien (Tolkien) (1892–1973) is a linguist, professor at Oxford University, and author of numerous scientific works. Tolkien is a whole event, an era in world literature. Based on his knowledge, he created an amazing fantasy world, the harsh charm of which captivates readers around the world to this day. The second volume of Tolkien's Works contains the end of the first part - "The Fellowship of the Ring" - the magical story "The Lord of the Rings" and its second part - "The Two fortresses."
