Summer has come, which means that our good friends - the Zhan brothers and their parents - are waiting for new adventures. Summer menu: moving from his native Cherbourg, holidays in the village with his grandparents, a fish named Suppository, a horde of lop-eared cousins Fugasse, and, of course, a mysterious object called “Flying Cheese”. For those who have already tried “Omelet with Sugar” and want something more unusual, we suggest enjoying “Flying Cheese” with a sauce made from the subtle humor of Arru-Vigno. Jean-Philippe Arroux-Vigneault is one of the six Jean brothers who will be discussed. Or more precisely, Jean B., the second oldest. Since childhood, he loved to read. In 1984, he published his first “adult” novel, for which he received the “Best Debut” award, and a few years later he published his second book, a children’s book. Today Arrou-Vigneault, the author of about thirty books, heads the children's literature department at the largest independent French publishing house, Gallimard. He created his series “The Adventures of the Family from Cherbourg,” so beloved by children and parents in France, together with the famous illustrator Dominique Corbason, whose works can be seen on the pages of magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Madame Figaro and Vanity Fair. In spirit, “The Adventures of the Family from Cherbourg” are reminiscent of the famous “Little Nicolas” by Rene Goscinny and Jean-Jacques Sampe: the heroes of “The Family” are the same cheerful, restless boys who strive to do something.
